Wrapping Up

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The dust has settled from the 2010 election cycle.  While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, I remain proud of what we achieved.  I am grateful for the experience and of the efforts of each of you.

The one glaring weakness in our campaign was fundraising - and for that I take full responsibility.  As a result of my shortcoming in that area, the campaign ended up approximately $35K in debt.  These amounts are owed to honest small business owners, entrepreneurs, consultants and even some of our volunteers.  People who believed in our message, and in many cases, came out of pocket to provide materials and services so we could continue the fight.

In these difficult times, they can ill afford to take losses, and I am committed to making sure they don't have to.

I was asked by the CT GOP to stand down after the primary, and not to do any fundraising until after the elections in November.  Well, that grace period is past, and I am asking for your help one more time.  Please consider making any donation you can, no amount is too small, and if everyone pitches in we will reach our goal in no time.  We are still accepting donations through the website (click here to donate online) or you can download, print and mail in our contribution form (click here for printable form).

We need to receive these contributions by March 31 so we can close the books, and maybe start planning for the next one ;-)

God bless you and your families.

Rob
